The United States Patriot act has taken the Citizen surveillance Act to a new level. This act now interferes with citizen’s freedom of speech and reporter’s freedom of the press by giving the executive branch of government an extreme amount of power. This can easily limit reporting on government activities, because now the government possess the right to control information or eavesdrop the press.
